ABOUT

We are a neighborhood team. We enjoy robotics, but also have other interests outside of robotics. We have passion for technology and love to innovate.  We are a team of 13 students, ranging from juniors in high school to 8th graders.

Adrien Joseph

Chief Technologist: Co-Captain, Programmer, Designer, Builder, Strategy, Outreach

I am a eleventh grader at Trumbull High School. This is my third year in FTC, I’ve competed in FLL for 5 years. I have been associated with FIRST for 8 years. I have found a passion towards Robotics and enjoy working on challenges for the competitions. In addition to robotics I am part of Model Congress, Model UN, and French Club. I am also part of the Indoor and Outdoor Track team, and enjoy pole vaulting. I like playing the violin and am involved in my school’s orchestra as well as the local Youth Orchestra. Some of my hobbies includes photography and graphic design. In my free time I like to hangout with friends and adventure around town. I am a Life Scout, working towards my Eagle.

Cyrus Asgari

Chief Architect: Co-Captain, Builder, Strategy, Outreach

 

I am an eleventh grader at Trumbull High School.  This is my third year doing FTC Robotics. I have previously done 4 years of FLL Robotics, through which I found a passion for engineering.  I also enjoy partaking in a multitude of other activities. I frequently ski across Vermont. I also enjoy mountain biking with my friends on the local trails and often in Vermont.  I am also part of the Trumbull cross-country team and the track team where I run long distance. I like participating in a variety of clubs, including Model Congress.

Stephen Cross

I am an eleventh grader at Trumbull High. This will be my first year on the robotics team. I have always had interest in coding and the robotic design, and so I am excited to put those interests to use. I enjoy helping others by volunteering in my community wherever I can. Through the TOP Soccer program I have been able to work with children teaching them the rudiments of the game. At my church I volunteer weekly in the kids ministry teaching preschoolers and with the Urban Impact team in the summer outreach to children in Bridgeport doing sports, crafts and having discussions about life. I  also volunteer at the public library in our town. At school I participate in both indoor and outdoor track team and I am looking forward to being a part of the Link Crew which provides support for new students during the upcoming year. In my free time I enjoy reading, listening to indie music, spending time with my family and learning about new technology.

Michael Lancia

I am a tenth grader at Trumbull High School. This is my first year doing robotics, and I am excited to experience my first competitions. I have always enjoyed math, science, and engineering, so I joined with the belief that robotics would give me a creative outlet to work on and hone my skills.  Outside of school, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, playing video games, and taking part in my school’s Italian and Latin clubs.

Howard Qian

I am an eleventh grader at Trumbull High School. I enjoy participating in Model UN and Model Congress clubs. This is my second year of FTC Robotics and, I have previously done FLL Robotics as well. I enjoy many things outside of robotics, some being skiing, biking, and soccer. I ski on school trips, with friends, and with my family. I bike with my friends to various locations in Trumbull. Mostly, we bike to the local lake and the mountain biking trails. While mountain biking, we would stop at a cliff overlooking the highway. For soccer, I’ve been playing since I was 4 years old. Now, I made varsity as a freshman Trumbull High. The team accomplished much the previous season by being undefeated and winning the FCIAC tournament. This season, the team achieved runner up in the FCIAC tournament.

AJ Doherty

I am a tenth grader at Trumbull High School. This is my first year of robotics. I enjoy doing many things outside of robotics I like to snowboarding with friends and family on trips. I also like to mountain biking with friends around Trumbull we like to go to a spot that overlooks a highway. I have played lacrosse for 7 years I have been on the C team for every year. I like to play video games. I was able to make the controls for the robot like one of the games that I play. The games I like to play are Rocket league and Titanfall 2.

Saihari Kota

I am a ninth grader at Trumbull High School. This is my first year doing FTC however, I have done FLL robotics for 2 years. Other than robotics, I do many different things. I take pleasure in playing sports such as basketball and cricket with my friends. I also have enjoyed being part of the Madison Middle School Cross Country team and hope to continue cross country in high school as well. I also do karate and bike with my friends all over Trumbull. I also participate in other activities such as the Stock Market Club and We The People.

Yash Permalla

I am a ninth grader at Trumbull High School. This is my first year doing FTC, but I have also done FIRST Lego League robotics for a year. I’ve always enjoyed working with coding and programming, so I jumped at the opportunity to try out FTC. Besides robotics, I spend time practicing piano, playing clarinet in the Milford Concert Band, and participating in Chess Club, Debate Club, and We the People in school.

Evani Dalal

I am an eleventh grader at Trumbull High School and this is my second year of robotics. Math and science are two subjects that consistently fascinate me in school, so I am excited to be working with the team this year. Outside of robotics, I enjoy participating in the Model Congress and Model UN clubs. I have also been playing tennis for two years and am captain of my school team. I also enjoy hanging out with friends as well as volunteering for different organizations. I am an active member of the state’s Interact club and and run an organization for students called Connecticut Voice.

Neha Biju

I am an eleventh grader at Trumbull High School. This will be my first year on the robotics team. My favorite subjects in school have always been math and science so I am really excited to explore the robotics side of science. At school I take part in Peer Leaders, Key Club, Yearbook, and I am the secretary of the French Club. In my free time I like to ride my bike, take small hikes, paint, and I have also been doing dance since I was four. I also volunteer around the community with various organizations and at elementary schools.

Aarav Parekh

I am an 8th Grader at Hillcrest Middle School, this is my first year participating in FTC and I am very excited to be participating in the competition,  I have also done First Lego League for two years. I enjoy playing soccer and I am part of Trumbull United Soccer Club. During my free time I love playing and watching soccer, biking around my neighborhood, hanging out with my friends, skiing in the winter, and playing video games.  Additionally I play the drums in my school band.

Ayush

I am a 8th Grader at Hillcrest Middle School. I love robotics  because it’s fun to solve complex problems creatively. I have done Fll for 2 years and this is my first year in FTC. I love competitive swimming and I am in the Trumbull Pisces swim team. In addition to that I am a First Class Scout in Troop 68 and working towards Eagle rank. In my free time I like biking, playing basketball, solving complex rubik's cubes and lately I love playing fortnite. I enjoy playing drums which I’ve been taking lessons and also volunteer at the Milford Concert Band. I love adventure sports like skiing, parasailing and snorkeling and someday want to skydive.

Chandini

I am a ninth grader at Fairchild Wheeler Magnet School. This will be my first year doing FTC in addition to last year being my first year in FLL Robotics. In addition to Robotics, I take part in many activities such as We The People, Interact Club, Mathcounts, and the Hillcrest Middle School Cross Country Team. I am also an accomplished Girl Scout working to earn my Silver and Gold Awards. I enjoy spending my spare time playing music. I play the flute and Guitar. In addition to this, I have been singing and playing Indian Classical Music since I was 5. I also enjoy Biking around my neighborhood in the summer and playing tennis with my sister and friends.

Godwin Joseph

Coach

I have worked as software engineer all my career. The passion for physics, technology and engineering has helped me share my experience and interest with these young enthusiastic engineers. A couple of years of teaching experience has added value to work with these boys. Has coached FLL teams mc² Robotics, Turtle Bots. Happy to coach and see them emerge as a FTC team.
